comprehended. Here at Christ Academy the process of learning English involves
exposition of the English language through drama, scriptwriting, debates, in
addition to activity-based learning in the classroom. The English Department of
Christ Academy aims to impart students with a deep appreciation of literature.
Through initiatives such as ‘Books-on-Wheels’ and ‘The Speaking Club’, the
department hopes to inculcate the love of reading and also provide a platform to
exercise their literary talents.
Communication being at the helm of all education is vital, and in cognizance of
this, the English department has expanded the syllabus to include Communicative
English with a view to enhance LSRW skills.
