The First session commenced with Rev.
Fr. George Athappilly, the scientist professor, who spoke to the
teachers all about the rules implemented by our Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
There was a talk about evaluation and effective teaching and good lot
of interaction between the resource personal and teachers present.
The Second session was conducted by Rev. Fr. Dyan Vaz a Jesuit Priest
from Mount St. Joseph’s who refreshed teachers with a talk on “Being
good as a person. To plant human beings for a generation. To be aware
of identity, mission, intimacy, spirituality. Love and freedom highly
essential for individual growth.”
Third Session was conducted by Mr. Sharan Chinnappa K S and Ms. Chitra
Uthaya, counsellor’s – TQM, CII Institute of Quality Bangalore. Mr.
Sharan conducted the for noon session with an Introduction to
Education and Quality Education and the need for changing education
methodologies, concepts, techniques, value systems and its adoption in
schools. The forenoon session ended with instilling the main
objectives of the session like creating or raising awareness on total
quality management in education. The noon session was conducted by Ms.
Chitra Uthaya “Understanding the principles of TQM and the need for
TQM in education. Stress was more on quality of education and demands
of the stake holders.
The Fourth section was conducted by Mr.
Jose a professor from IIM Bangalore, who stressed the harmonious
relationship between parent, teacher and student. He stressed more on
values and implementation of those values in daily life of a child.
